updates from anton oct 22

I didn’t write any updates here since June 25.

What I did recently:

- last week I launched new tool to showcase who you support(creators etc). it’s called https://patronat.com/. It’s like full version of patreon, where not only creators have profile page, but people who support creators have first class page.

So eg if I know you I can see who you support and discover new people I might follow too. It also allows people to get support with 0 fees from the platform(so better than patreon in that way).

- I June I’ve made macOS app that exports all apple notes, iMessages and more to markdown files. It’s a bit expensive, but it’s by far my most successful macOS. I was quite surprised by it. But it also makes sense, because it’s focused on modern AI workflows - where you can export all the data to markdown files and use Claude, Claude Code to Chat GPT to work with those files. 

I’m also launching new macOS app for issue tracking tool by Steve Yegge. Check out the tool if you are developer, very interesting and hopefully in the next email I’ll include link to my app.

Also, I launching new newsletter service which is successor to https://recuremail.com/. Recuremail served well over the years but there were some limitations I couldn’t address before: images support, approval flows, billing support was not good.

I’m addressing this in a new tool with a new foundation. My new goal is to build useful services that can work even for 100 customers long term and have low cost of operation and support. I wasn’t able to get all those pieces 1-3 years ago when building Montaigne, recur email and so on. But I finally have framework that would allow me to achieve this. I want those services to exist min 5 years with low cost of operation and so few bugs that I barely need to do something. Fingers crossed I would be able to do that.

And obviously the big one - all the tools that I make I use myself.
