# Montaigne is back

Hi everyone,

Apple just unblocked montaigne's account and publishing is back.

If you made changes in the past few days - they should be synced now.

If they didn’t sync - try to make any small change to the note and it should resync.


Few notes:

- this is first time ever(2.5 years running Montaigne) where I get Apple account locked. I think publishing was disabled for around 2 days.
- this is the second time this year when publishing was unreliable. If you remember there was like one month during spring when iCloud sync was extremely slow and Notes were not showing up on my side. In April I made macOS app called alto.computer to address that. It allowed publishing online directly from your macOS bypassing Apple servers.


So I still recommend you to install alto.computer macOS app and see if it works for you.

I publish most of my sites using alto.computer now and not Montaigne!

PS Also several people asked me about migration to Alto and their concerns. I will work on proper documentation and will send the link with steps and guides in the next updates.
