# Montaigne. End of July updates

Anton here.

I didn’t send updates for a long time -> that was mostly because of the issues with recur.email newsletter service that I’ve used to send weekly updates.

Bunch of spammers used recur.email to send emails and that damaged “reputation” of the whole service.

So update number one: I’ve moved my newsletter from https://recur.email/ to https://recuremail.com/. It’s new domain, new landing page and better security - there is bot check now when people try to subscribe.


Another update. I’ve made a lot of progress with Alto macOS app. Please try it! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/alto-computer/id6480425094?mt=12

It has many cool things. But most importantly you can also publish Apple Notes online and it’s faster and more reliable. Because publishing doesn’t depend on iCloud.


There are tons of other things in the app: Apple Notes templates, integration with reminders and so on. You can see few videos to get an idea how it works https://www.youtube.com/@alto_so.

I was able to create several sites with Alto already: https://docs.alto.so/, https://podviaznikov.com/, https://recuremail.com/ It’s all very similar to Montaigne. But there are differences, ask me about them if you are curious.
